If you’ve been following along, you know this journey with Michelle & Jeff has been filled with thoughtful planning, meaningful details, and so much anticipation. It’s been so special to document it all here on plannerd.com. And now… it finally happened! Michelle & Jeff are officially married!
In this third and final installment of their wedding series, we’re sitting down for a post-wedding Q&A to hear what the day really felt like, what surprised them most, and the moments they’ll never forget.

How did it feel waking up on the morning of your wedding? What was running through your mind?
It honestly didn’t feel real at first! I was still very much in planning mode, making sure everything was exactly how it needed to be. I think I was distracting myself with all the little details… checking that everyone had what they needed to get ready, making sure hair and makeup were on track, and that everything was moving along smoothly. It wasn’t until I went to see Jeff for our first look that it really hit me. I was also pretty tired that morning, just like everyone says you’ll be. The two days leading up to the wedding are so busy with all the small but important things.
What were your absolute favorite moments from the day?
One of my favorite moments was spending the morning and afternoon with my bridal party. They kept me calm, grounded, and made sure I had everything I needed. Also I want to give a huge shout out to my Maid of Honor, Robin. She truly took it to the next level. She was everywhere at once, from making sure our food arrived to coordinating the vow books and ring exchange with the best man. She was incredible.
Another favorite moment was our first look. Seeing Jeff’s reaction was so emotional and something I’ll never forget. And of course, the dancing! Our wedding turned into a full-on dance party, which was exactly what we wanted.

What little things went sideways (because something always does!) and how did you handle it?
Honestly, not much went sideways at all. The wedding was planned so well, and the only thing that needed a quick fix was the color of the up lighting in the room. Once I noticed it, Jeff told me it was time to stop and enjoy our wedding…haha! I can’t help myself, but it all worked out perfectly.
Which details turned out even better than you expected?
The DJ and the décor absolutely exceeded my expectations. DJ Genesis completely made the night… everyone was talking about his MC’ing and playlists during and even after the wedding. And our florist, Event Bliss, absolutely nailed it. The florals and candlelight design matched my Pinterest inspiration photos almost 1:1. The flowers were so beautiful, and I know I’ll remember them forever.

Looking back, what part of staying organized beforehand made the biggest difference on the actual day?
Creating a detailed wedding timeline and having printed copies made a huge difference. People kept asking me what was coming next, and honestly, I couldn’t remember in the moment… so I’d just hand them the timeline and say, “It’s all in here!” Having vendor meetings the week of the wedding also helped keep everyone aligned and organized.
Is there anything you would do differently if you could do it all again?
Nothing at all. I loved every part of our wedding, from the smallest details to the venue, vendors, and décor. I truly wouldn’t change a thing.

What’s one thing you want future Plannerd couples to know before their big day?
My friend Lucy shared this with me the night of our rehearsal dinner, and it’s the same advice I’d give any couple: during your ceremony, take a moment to look out at your guests. The view is incredible. Seeing all your family and friends in one place, watching their emotions as they celebrate you, is something I’ll never forget.
Describe how it felt at the end of the night, just the two of you, officially married.
We were honestly exhausted by the end of the night… not surprisingly haha. We went to the after-party, where Jeff had to grab a Red Bull just to keep going. Eventually, we headed back to the hotel around 1 a.m., ate our late-night snacks with the bridal party, and called it a night. It still felt like we were very much us, but also different in the best way… especially knowing that everyone would continue celebrating us at brunch the next day.
